The only thing I enjoy more than watching people is staring at abandoned, decaying structures and forgotten properties. I’m obsessed. It consumes my mind to the point where I don’t even think about anything else around me. Although these places are uninviting and unpleasant, I find beauty in the decay. Photographing is my way of taking this home with me. My interest in these spaces continues to increase as I consider the history behind them. It saddens me that no one cares enough about these places to do anything. In the end, all things fall apart. My photographs help me understand this idea.
